Pakistan, Qatar, Nepal to strengthen parliamentary ties, Gilani holds meetings

Islamabad: Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani held meetings with the Speakers of Qatar’s Shura Council Hassan Al-Ghanim and Nepal’s House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire in Geneva Wednesday.

During his meeting with the Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council, the two dignitaries reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historically fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar, grounded in shared values, mutual respect, and a common vision for peace and development.

In his meeting with the Speaker of Nepal’s House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire, the Chairman Senate emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its multifaceted partnership with Nepal, particularly in the areas of parliamentary diplomacy, trade, education, tourism, and cultural exchange.

Devraj Ghimire appreciated Pakistan for providing scholarships to Nepalese students for studying at distinguished institutions in Pakistan.
