Lahore: Alliance Française de Lahore is set to host Dreams II, a captivating miniature art exhibition curated by Anne Sophie Français, bringing together the imaginative works of eight promising student artists. The exhibition will run from August 20 to 23, 2025, at La Galerie, opening doors to a world of surrealism, introspection, and storytelling through the delicate medium of miniature painting.

Anne Sophie, known for her curatorial vision that bridges artistic experimentation with cultural dialogue, has crafted this exhibition as a continuation of the Dreams series. “This project is an exploration of the unseen, the whimsical, and the deeply personal narratives that young artists wish to share,” she noted ahead of the launch.

The exhibition will feature works by Laraib Amin, Maheen Khan, Sunaina Khalid, Syeda Wafa Zahra, Usama Ishaq, Waleed Bin Shahzad, Warda Fatima, and Warda Khan – each presenting a unique interpretation of the dreamscape through miniature art traditions.

Adding prestige to the event, celebrated Pakistani miniature painter Professor Ustad Bashir Ahmad will attend as Guest of Honor. Widely regarded as a pioneer who has preserved and redefined miniature painting for contemporary audiences, Ustad Bashir’s presence underscores the exhibition’s dedication to both tradition and innovation.

Dreams II reflects the Alliance Française de Lahore’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent while fostering cross-cultural appreciation of art. Visitors can experience the exhibition daily between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
