Vibrant exhibition showcasing over 200 artworks created by Pakistani, Chinese students commemorates 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance
Islamabad: A vibrant exhibition showcasing over 200 artworks created by Pakistani and Chinese students was held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Tuesday afternoon to commemorate the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Titled “Paint Peace Together,” the exhibition featured colorful depictions of friendship, unity, and global harmony. Young participants, including sisters Buraam Ding Yi Yue and Iqra Ding Wan Yue from Islamabad, expressed their love for the Pakistan-China bond through their art.
“My painting is a message that the world should be peaceful and full of friendship,” said Anees Ahmad, a Pakistani participant.
Chinese Embassy officials, PNCA representatives, and educators praised the creativity of the children, noting that cultural exchanges like these strengthen the “iron brotherhood” between the two nations while instilling values of peace in the younger generation.
Speaking on the occasion, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Shi Yuanqiang, said that the China-Pakistan partnership serves as a model for peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and beyond.
Shi Yuanqiang emphasized that aggression and fascism could never defeat the resolve of peace-loving nations. He noted that initiatives such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) go beyond economic bonds, laying the foundation for peace through shared prosperity.
Shi Yuanqiang highlighted the importance of cultural and educational exchanges in nurturing a spirit of friendship among younger generations.
“These paintings reflected the purest desire of our children for harmony and a future without war. Their vision should inspire us to redouble efforts to protect peace,” he said.
