Chinese Consul General hails SCO summit, calls for deeper CPEC cooperation
Karachi: Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong described the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin as a profound success, stressing that the forum demonstrated the region’s commitment to cooperation, stability, and cultural exchange.
Addressing participants of the Senior and Mid-Career Management Courses at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Yang Yundong emphasized China’s readiness to work with all countries for peaceful development and shared prosperity.
Highlighting the significance of the Pakistan-China partnership, he said: “As ironclad brothers and all-weather strategic partners, China hopes to see a prosperous, strong, and stable Pakistan more than any other country.”
Yang Yundong underscored that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meetings with President Xi Jinping during the summit were expected to raise bilateral cooperation to new heights, particularly through the upgraded phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He also linked the SCO’s spirit of cooperation with China’s Global Development, Security, and Civilization Initiatives, reflecting Beijing’s broader vision for an inclusive and multipolar world.
