Zhengzhou: Dahe.cn reported that on August 29, a railway special train fully loaded with photovoltaic (PV) products departed smoothly from Zhengzhou Putian Station and headed for Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This special train was the first one operated since the opening of the “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” rail-highway intermodal route in May this year, and it marked significant progress in the construction of the “rail-highway intermodal” international logistics channel built by Zhongyu Port Group, leveraging the geographical advantages of Kashgar.

It is reported that since the beginning of this year, Zhongyu Port Group has successfully completed multiple trial shipments, establishing an efficient and stable cross-border logistics channel. With railway trunk lines as the core and overseas highway transportation as an extension, this channel passes through four major ports in Kashgar Prefecture, accurately connects 12 key station cities, and covers businesses to such Central Asian countries as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, achieving the regular operation of rail-highway intermodal services. In the next step, Zhongyu Port Group will continue to deepen the layout of its “rail-highway intermodal” business, promote the coordinated operation across multiple ports and routes, expand the logistics coverage network, and comprehensively improve the standardization level of services. It will also strengthen cooperation with logistics enterprises and railway departments along the route to jointly build an efficient and green international logistics channel, so as to better serve the construction of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
