Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon praised Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s efforts for flood-affected people across the country. He termed Bhutto Zardari’s perspective as a ray of hope for the victims, emphasizing that Bhutto understands their difficulties. Memon assured that under Bhutto’s leadership, the PPP will continue its efforts until the complete rehabilitation of the flood victims.

Memon described Bhutto’s recent social media post mentioning flood victims as a prime example of his civic responsibility and foresight. He emphasized Bhutto Zardari’s continued support for the people during difficult times, stating that the vulnerable, farmers, and flood-affected families are his top priority.

Memon welcomed the federal government’s decision to declare an environmental and agricultural crisis on Bhutto’s request. He termed this decision a result of Bhutto Zardari’s wise leadership, which drew national attention to the plight of the flood victims.

Expressing dissatisfaction, Memon commented on the federal government’s failure to announce a relief package under the Benazir Income Support Program for flood victims despite Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s personal promise to Bhutto Zardari. He indicated that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, especially South Punjab, are still waiting for this assistance.

Memon reiterated Bhutto’s concern regarding the unexplained delay in requesting international aid through the United Nations platform. He pledged that the PPP will raise its voice for the people at every forum and present proposals in all legislative bodies to make the rehabilitation of flood victims a national priority.

Memon mentioned Bhutto Zardari’s recent visits, during which he toured flood-affected areas of Central Punjab, South Punjab, and Sindh. Following these visits, Bhutto consulted with the Sindh Chief Minister and the Provincial Minister of Agriculture to formulate workable rehabilitation plans for farmers.

Memon emphasized that the agricultural sector has been the most affected, and he affirmed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari aims to enable farmers to regain stability. He confirmed that the Sindh government is taking practical steps to achieve this goal and expects full cooperation from the federal government
