Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar said Thursday that a clear agreement has reached with China and Afghanistan that no terrorist organization, whether TTP, BLA or others will be allowed to use any country’s soil against another.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, he said his recent China visit was highly successful and Pakistan has achieved a significant progress on diplomatic, strategic and economic fronts.

The Deputy Prime Minister, said that discussions on CPEC 2.0 were detailed and promising.

He said we have successfully laid the groundwork for expanded cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

He confirmed that China has expressed its intent to finance the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan railway project, calling it a transformative step for regional connectivity.

Ishaq Dar said we have already sent a draft framework to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

He said that financing and coordination for this project has been taken up directly with China, which has responded positively.

The Deputy Prime Minister said this project, along with the Peshawar–Kabul Highway and ML-1 upgrades, will massively boost Pakistan’s connectivity to Central Asian Republics and enhance the commercial potential of our underutilized ports.

He said that the visit also marked substantive decisions with China and Afghanistan, especially on refugee matters and counterterrorism.

Ishaq Dar reiterated that our resolve is clear that we will crush terrorism with an iron hand, as we did before.

He said we reaffirmed our support for the One-China policy, including Tibet.”

The Deputy Prime Minister also shared that the Chinese Minister for International Development and senior Communist Party leader met his delegation and praised Pakistan’s global outreach.
