Iran and Italy hold fifth round of political consultations

The fifth round of political consultations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Italian Republic was held chaired by Majid Takht-Ravanchi Political Deputy of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Riccardo Guariglia Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
The fifth round of political consultations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Italian Republic was held, chaired by Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Political Deputy of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Riccardo Guariglia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.

During this round of political consultations, a wide range of topics concerning bilateral relations—including political, economic, cultural, and consular matters—as well as international issues such as the indirect Iran-US negotiations and regional developments, were discussed.
Both sides elaborated on their respective views and positions regarding these matters.
Furthermore, the two sides agreed to follow up on certain discussed issues and to hold the next round of political consultations in Rome.
The Italian Deputy Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation also met and held talks with Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
