Natalie Baker lauds Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace in region

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday reiterated Pakistan’s stance for the resolution of disputes, including Kashmir issue, through peaceful means, and said that any step in this regard will be welcomed

He was talking to Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker, who called on him in Islamabad.

On her part, Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace in the region and said that Pakistan is our important friend and we attach special importance to relations with Pakistan.

The Minister lauded exceptional leadership and sincere efforts of President Trump in achieving a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

The Minister expressed hoped that US President Donald Trump will also bring about a ceasefire in Gaza.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, Pakistan-US relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors including counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics.

Moreover, regional developments and the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were discussed in detail.
