Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary General Muhammad Humayun Khan has issued a clear and strong response to the rumors regarding President Asif Ali Zardari’s resignation.
He categorically denied these reports, stating, “I strongly refute the baseless rumors about President Asif Ali Zardari stepping down.”
Humayun Khan said that President Zardari is set to become the first civilian president to complete two terms in office. “The rumors about his resignation are fabricated and unfounded,” he said. Humayun Khan emphasized that President Zardari has always remained steadfast in the face of challenges, endured dictatorship and imprisonment, and stood firm on his principles.
“President Zardari is the only politician who, while upholding democratic values, transferred presidential powers to the parliament,” he said. “He has always taken the lead in matters of national peace and security.”
Humayun Khan claimed that these rumors are part of a deliberate conspiracy to undermine the democratic structure. He urged the public not to fall prey to fake news, rumors, and negative propaganda.
“President Zardari has always upheld the flag of democracy during critical times,” Humayun Khan stated. “He is a symbol of democratic stability and a true guardian of constitutional values.”
“President Zardari voluntarily and with political foresight transferred all powers to the parliament. This historic move laid the foundation for strengthening parliamentary democracy. Today, President Asif Ali Zardari is the key pillar of balance and stability in the coalition government,” he added. “He has always prioritized national interest over personal gain.”
