Bulgaria and Armenia deepen cooperation in the field of technological innovation

Yerevan: Armenia and Bulgaria are entering a new phase of cooperation in the field of technological innovation. A number of relevant documents were signed during the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and Bulgaria, held in Sofia.

According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of High Technologies, the Armenian delegation is headed by the co-chair of the commission, Minister Mkhitar Ayrapetyan.

Following the meeting, the co-chairs of the two countries ratified a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of technological innovation and research activities between the Ministry of High Technologies of Armenia and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth of Bulgaria.

It provides for deepening cooperation in a number of strategic areas – artificial intelligence, space research, digital healthcare and biotechnology, exchange of IT specialists and development of a start-up ecosystem.

The parties confirmed their readiness to support innovation, promote digital and green transition, introduce modern technologies, and apply the results of scientific research in practice.-0-
