Zhengzhou leads Central China cities in foreign trade in H1

Zhengzhou: Latest data show that Zhengzhou’s foreign trade still maintains a strong growth momentum under external pressure.
Zhengzhou’s total import and export value reached 274.68 billion yuan in the first half of 2025, up 38.7 percent year-on-year, said a source from Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce on August 3. Both the total value and the growth rate rank first among the provincial capital cities in Central China.
Made-in-Zhengzhou products are gaining increasing popularity in the global market driven by the vitality of local enterprises.
At Henan Dexi Chemical Co., Ltd., located on Huayuan Road in Zhengzhou, the procurement team has been working around the clock to coordinate with chemical producers across China, while the sales team is going all out to connect with overseas clients and tap into global markets. In the first five months of this year, the company recorded export sales of 416 million yuan, up 9 percent year-on-year.
In the dust-free workshop of Henan Dongwei Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., chip target materials are being vacuum-packed before being shipped to leading global manufacturers for nanoscale semiconductor chip coating.
With its robust growth in foreign trade, Zhengzhou is gaining greater momentum and confidence. Air cargo continues to play a central role in the city’s imports and exports, with international air routes serving as “fast lanes” that connect Zhengzhou with the rest of the world.
The “Made-in-Zhengzhou” brand continues to shine abroad. Statistics indicate that exports of mechanical and electrical products, as well as high-tech goods, have dominated in the first half of this year. Computers, telecommunication equipment, mobile phones, and automobiles remain top performers, while exports of electric vehicles, audio-visual equipment, and related components see significant growth.
Zhengzhou’s global trade network is expanding and enhancing rapidly, covering 226 countries and regions. Trade volumes with the EU and ASEAN continue to grow. Emerging markets such as Brazil, Germany, and Mexico are experiencing rapid growth, while diversified trade patterns provide a solid buffer againstrisks for Zhengzhou’s foreign trade.
