Pak-Afghan border fencing to be completed next year

Islamabad: Pak-Afghan border fencing will be completed by December next year, the military said Sunday.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor  said work on 233 of 843 forts and 802 of 1200 kilometers priority one areas has been completed. The total length of the border is 2611 kilometers, he added.
General Ghafoor said the army was aiming at speedy completion of the work in priority areas.
He expressed hope that fencing the Pak-Afghan border will benefit peaceful people of the two countries while restricting terrorists.
