Evidences of camera scandal could be destroyed by closing NA: Shazia Marri

Islamabad: Central Information Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian Shazia Marri has said that there is fear that evidences of the cameras scandal would likely be destroyed by suspending the activities of National Assembly on the pretext of disinfection of the house.

She said that Imran Khan was trying to save those who were involved in the installation of cameras in the senate hall during senate chairman elections. She further said that Government could also be removed the CCTV footages of camera installers by closing Parliament.

This she has expressed in a reaction of government decision regarding closure of National Assembly for two days to disinfect the house in her statement issued here.

Shazia Marri said that installation of spy cameras to identify the voters during Senate election’s day is big scandal than Watergate scandal and in this connection a fair and transparent probe should also be conducted. She questioned the government that why aren’t the names of the responsible persons who were involved in the installation of cameras brought infront of the nation if the CCTV footages are available as evidence?

She further said that Imran Khan is trying to save those who installed cameras in the Senate Hall.
