Islamabad: Sindh former minister Saeed Ghani said on Sunday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will emerge as the largest party in Karachi.

Speaking to media, Ghani stated, “The PPP candidates will achieve success in both the Central and Korangi districts.”

PPP senior leader Saeed Ghani on Sunday asserted that the political landscape was favouring Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Expressing his thoughts in Karachi, Ghani said: “The PML-N had believed in empowering the nation to choose its own leaders. But country, the perception is making rounds that the situation is being made favourable for Nawaz Sharif, particularly.”

He cautioned against any situation that heavily favoured one individual, deeming it unsuitable.

Ghani advocated for an equal electoral environment for all, emphasising the need for fairness.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) geared up to contest against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the political arena.

Sources divulged on Saturday that the PPP had decided to field its candidates against MQM contenders in the Central District Assembly seats.

In the upcoming general elections, the practical strategy is to challenge MQM-P’s political stronghold by fielding PPP candidates.

The party is actively working to include various personalities from the central district within its ranks.

Sources have revealed that the decision has been made to include Saif Yar Khan from MQM Pakistan and Tauqeer Ahmed within the PPP fold.

Prominent political and business figures have recently held meetings with former president Asif Zardari.
