Interior Minister lauds President Xi Jinping’s global security initiative

Islamabad: Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has commended Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global security initiative.

In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong here, he also affirmed Pakistan’s readiness to actively contribute to international cooperation for global security.

The two discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and security cooperation during the meeting.

The minister highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, citing Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar’s recent visit to China as a catalyst for strengthened collaboration across various fields, particularly in security.

Bugti expressed confidence in the implementation of agreements arising from the Prime Minister’s visit and appreciated Chinese President Xi Jinping’s global security initiative.

Assuring the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan, he emphasized the nation’s commitment to overcoming terrorism, citing past successes and a determination to eradicate it entirely in the future.

On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong praised Pakistan’s role in the fight against terrorism.

He acknowledged the Interior Minister’s efforts for ensuring the security of Chinese citizens and expressed gratitude for the cooperation.
