Pakistan-China Friendship Center hosts three-day PLF 2023

Islamabad: Pakistan-China Friendship Center in Islamabad is hosting three-day Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF) 2023.

The three-day event, organised by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, in collaboration with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aghai (ITA [Centre of Education and Consciousness]) and the National Book Foundation, started on Saturday afternoon.

This event encompasses a Conference, Book Fair, and the Pakistan Learning Festival, themed “Today’s Readers, Tomorrow’s Learners.” Scheduled from 25th to 27th November 2023 at the Pakistan-China Friendship Center, the PLF combines a national conference on reading and literacy with a 3-day Book and Foundational Learning Festival. Focused on children, schools, and families, the festival features leading education providers delivering short ‘Lightning Talks’ on innovative solutions for foundational learning.

The first day, November 25, 2023, hosted insightful discussions by renowned educationists addressing key challenges and advancements in literacy and foundational learning.

The event also includes various activities for children, such as animated story sessions, storytelling, singing, songwriting, interactive performances, creating characters, and the art of bookmaking. Subsequent days will offer poems, screenplays, dance, musical performances, and dramas for children and families.

The program aims to provide a comprehensive learning platform for the youth of society. The festival features interactive learning activities, solutions, and a book fair for children, teachers, and parents on November 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2023.

The three-day schedule is designed to promote foundational learning and reading habits among kids, including a National Reading Conference, Pitching Sessions, panel discussions, and book launches.

The PLF integrates learning, awareness, and fun, covering 16 learning strands such as climate change, creative writing, storytelling, and self-expression, providing participants an opportunity to engage with renowned educationists.
