Italy requests targeted revision of its NRRP

Rome: The European Commission said Monday that Italy has presented a request for “targeted” technical changes to its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

It said the technical changes following a complete revision of the plan approved by the European Council in December.

The post-COVID NRRP seeks to make the Italian economy Greener and more modern by 2026 thanks to projects funded with the help of almost 200 billion euros in EU grants and low-interest loans.

Premier Giorgia Meloni’s government agreed a series of modifications to the plan with the Commission to reflect changes in circumstances since it was drafted and avoid the risk that some of the projects and reform goals linked to it would not by completed by the deadlines.
