Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leaders discuss CPEC projects
Karachi: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects were discussed has in a meeting between Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail here at the Governor’s House.
“The meeting discussed various issues of mutual interest including ongoing development projects especially projects under the CPEC,” said an official statement.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail maintained that each sector in the country had progressed during the tenure of present government and the government was committed to complete the CPEC projects on time.
He contended that completion of development projects would raise the standard of living of common man.
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani told the Sindh Governor that public welfare projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being completed on priority basis, especially the CPEC ventures.
Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and Member Sindh Assembly Bilal Ghaffar were also present in the meeting.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is ruled by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) while the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) governs the Sindh province. Governor Sindh Imran Ismail belongs to the PTI as a representative of the federal government run by the PTI.
Both the Sindh and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces are being enormously developed under the mega CPEC plan with the support and investments by Iron Brother China.
